Graduate Refresher Day: Maintaining A Mindfulness Practice In The Midst of Life's Challenges

Led by Ed Halliwell.

It can be difficult to sustain a mindfulness practice after the end of an eight-week course. Even though we may have felt the benefits of regular meditation, we find we don't have - or aren't able to make - the time. Sometimes we lose heart, or life events take over, or we miss the support and structure of the course and other participants. This refresher day is an opportunity to explore what gets in the way of mindfulness in daily life, offering space to share difficulties, insights, and support strategies with others. We’ll look at the most common obstacles to practice and how we can work with them, as well as reminding ourselves how to make a commitment to yourself and your wellbeing by re-engaging with stillness, presence and self-compassion. There will be opportunities to reconnect with the main practices from the eight week course in a supportive, nurturing environment, as well as asking why we might want to practise them. The day is open to anyone who has completed an eight-week course (with us or another teacher), no matter how long ago you took the course and no matter how much (or how little) practice experience you have had since. Cost £65 including light mid-afternoon refreshments.

Please note: We are sorry but we are are unable to offer refunds / transfers within one month of the course start date.
